Through our partner veterinarians, Happy Cats Haven provides basic medical care for our cats and kittens. However, sometimes a cat presents with an illness or condition after being admitted that needs treatment beyond our normal expenses. This health fund was created to afford to keep some special cats healthy while they wait to be adopted.
Brave Artemis update
All her babies are also happy and healthy. Gemini, Libra and Pisces are already in their forever homes and Aries and Scorpio are available now.
Thanks to everyone who helped turn this sad story into another Happy Tale: kind Kevin who found her kittens, Barb & Carmel who helped Kevin find her, Dr. McCarty at Aspenwood Veterinary Hospital who helped with her healing, both donors who helped defray her expenses and finally to foster mom Ramie, who did such a great job keeping Artemis quiet and loved while she got well.
Ferdinand is SO stinkin’ cute! How is he doing?
He’s doing just fine! Dr. Dugan pronounced him well and not in pain, so he and his eyes are good to go. He’s now at Happy Cats, waiting for his forever home!
That’s great! I would love to come meet him. How do you think he would do in a home with 2 other cats (who are sweet as pie)? 🙂
He really loves his other Hobbits, so as long as they can tolerate an affectionate cat, they should be OK. We always recommend a fairly slow introduction to let them know they’re not losing territory to the new guy. We’re open 12-4 Fri and Sat and 5-8 tonight.
