Volunteer Agreement and Release

If I am accepted as a volunteer for Happy Cats Haven, Inc. (“HCH”), I hereby agree to comply with all of the policies and procedures that may be established from time to time by HCH. I understand that failure to comply may result in my immediate termination as a volunteer. I understand that all services performed by me will be on a strictly volunteer basis, and that I will receive no remuneration, pay or compensation of any kind, that I will not be an employee of HCH nor otherwise derive any benefits normally available to employees of HCH, and that HCH shall incur no liability of any nature as a result of my volunteering for HCH. I understand that Happy Cats Haven is not responsible for any illness or injury caused by any animals that I come into contact with during my volunteer work and that all services performed by me will be done at my own risk. Therefore, on behalf of myself, my heirs, and personal representatives, I hereby release, discharge, indemnify and hold harmless HCH and its assigns, successors, agents, staff, board of directors, employees, contractors, and representatives from any and all claims, causes of action, or demands of any nature or cause whatsoever, including costs and attorney fees, arising out of or relating to my volunteering with HCH, including but not limited to animal bites, accidents, or injuries. I understand that public relations are an important part of volunteering with HCH. On behalf of myself, my heirs, and personal representatives, if accepted as a volunteer, I give HCH permission to use and publish photographs taken of me as a volunteer for use in its public relations efforts.

Youths from 12 to 17 are eligible to volunteer with a parent, legal guardian or trusted family friend who is 18 years or older. We're sorry, but children under 12 may not volunteer due to liability issues. If you are under 18, please have your guardian sign their name.
